Painting Guide

As I’m currently not selling painted items, I figured a short guide on how to paint will be helpful for most.

Paint brands I use are:

  • AK
  • Pro Acryl
  • Vallejo
  • Citadel

Priming:

  • Vallejo - brush on primer or rattlecan
  • Citadel – rattlecan

Varnish:

  • Tamiya Gloss, Semigloss
  • Mr Hobby Gloss, Semigloss, flat matt

Brushes:

Kolinsky haired brushes are personal favorite. Roubloff Kolinsky to be precise. A bit hard to get nowadays due to them being made in Russia.

With brushes you can’t go wrong with getting a set from any miniature painting brand like Citadel, AK or Vallejo. You’ll find your own favorite brushes soon enough.

Work process:

  1. Sand and wash prints
  2. Let dry
  3. Prime items
  4. Let dry
  5. Paint items
  6. Varnish
  7. Let dry for 24 hours
